site rationale · internal note

Three unusual choices, the extensions, the fallback.

The three most unusual choices

choice 01

One signal color — and it is the warm one.

One signal leads on both surfaces: amber on asphalt (--machine-400 on --ink-950, 7.73:1) and deep amber on daylight (--machine-700 on --ink-50). Mind cobalt appears only in the wordmark's left dot, as the wordmark rule requires.

defense: first vertical is auto; one tone leads per surface — and the surface is the road.

choice 02

The figures are built from the chaos.

The Assembly's final numerals are dot-matrix targets for the same 640 marks that were the scattered records. No chart, no dashboard, no second visual system.

defense: the claim, literalized — history becomes the decision.

choice 03

The site claims exactly zero metrics.

No accuracy numbers, no logos, no testimonials. The only large numerals are years and an output pair captioned illustrative.

defense: claim less, demonstrate more.

Token extensions added (site scope, aliases and compositions only)

Reduced-motion fallback for the Assembly

Under prefers-reduced-motion (or on low-power devices), the 340vh scroll track collapses to one viewport and the canvas renders the final state once: the ledger resolved, both figures and labels visible. The year span becomes a plain horizontally scrollable list; all durations are already zeroed by the motion tokens. The thesis is complete and persuasive with zero frames of animation.
